Overview
The original seasonlongpool ran for 20 years between 2000 and 2020. In order to enter, you submitted your form and mailed a check to a random man in Pennsylvania on faith that he would honor it if you won. Sports betting has made investing in a team easier, but nothing has quite matched the weird sicko joy of following a team as a true fan for an entire season that the seasonlongpool brings.
Values
All values were created by taking Torvik preseason ratings, simulating an entire season, and normalizing so that each team is projected to get roughly 4x its value based on the scoring system below.
Prizes / Fee
In order to formally enter to earn money, please Venmo $50 to @William-Ezekowitz. Venmos are due by midnight ET on November 10 in order to be eligible.
Payouts will be as follows:
- First place — 50% of the pot
- Second — 20% of the pot
- Third — 15% of the pot
- Fourth — 10% of the pot
- Fifth — 5% of the pot
